Discussions at Singapore's Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR)

Minister of State for Science and Technology Policy Sanae Takaichi visited Singapore from January 9 to 13. In relation to science and technology policy, she had meetings with such people as Deputy Chairman Tan Chorh Chuan of A*STAR, Vice President Dr. Lawrence Loh of the National University of Singapore, and Prof. Edison Liu of the Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS), and inspected such facilities as the Biopolis's GIS and the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology. During the visit, meaningful discussions were held concerning innovation policy and the building of world-class research centers.
