 On May 23, 2016, Dr. Harayama received a courtesy visit from Mr. Stefan Müller, Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in Germany, during his visit to Japan.

 Dr. Harayama and Secretary Müller shared information and opinions over how to follow up on the 22nd Meeting of the Germany-Japan Joint Committee on Cooperation in Science and Technology held last year, and they reaffirmed the importance of enhanced collaboration between the two countries.
