Organization Overview
In May 2019, PEAKS (Leaders’ Forum on Promoting the Evolution of Academia for Knowledge Society) was launched by the leaders from research universities, industry and the national government, to create a nation-wide innovation ecosystem that is essential to the prosperity of Japanese economy and society.

Draw up recommendations for the development of university policies based on the discussions
at the general meeting, and take necessary action. - General Meeting
- Composed of all the members from research universities, industry, and the national government, including the Executive Committee members.
Share information, exchange opinions and provide advice on the proposal from working groups, and furthermore, discuss important matters about operation of PEAKS. - Committee for the vision of PEAKS
- Create the vision and goals of PEAKS, under the supervision of the Executive Committee.
- Working Groups
- Working groups are formed to discuss the specific management issues many universities share in common.
Make a concrete proposal that clarifies the actions PEAKS members should take.
