| Details of Measures | Explanations were made as follows: The elusion of the fluorescent material in question is prohibited by the standards for food and additives etc. As regards the complaint that the Japanese standards exceed the general international standard, it was confirmed that no internationally recognized standards existed on inquiry made by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Furthermore, as a result of having tested the two kinds of samples submitted, it was proved that as regards one of the samples no elusion of the fluorescent material occurred. Accordingly it was notified to the complainant that import of that type was permissible. | ||
