| Details of Measures | 1. Explanation was made that the Ministry of International Trade and Industry formulated projections for demand and supply as part of its administrative research but that they were merely projections and that production and import was free. 2. Explanations was made that preferential import which was only for developing countries was permitted at any time until the preferential import quota was fulfilled, but that since as a matter of fact the preferential import quota is usually filled on April 1 or 2, no preferential treatment was applied to imports which came later than these dates. |
