| Details of Measures | It was explained that the designation of any new food additives requires the investigation and discussion by the Food Sanitation Investigation Council, that it is necessary for the complainant to submit the test data concerning the safety of the material (the mutagenicity and teratogenicity test data) etc. and that the emulsifier YN is not yet approved as a food additive in USA, Federal Republic of Germany and France, and the United Kingdom is at least required to make efforts to have the emulsifier YN included in the EC Common List. | ||
