Subject | Making unnecessary the submission of the re-export certificates under the Washington Convention concerning the import of furs to be displayed in exhibitions.
Details of Measures | Explanations were made that misunderstanding had occurred by the customhouse broker's wrong explanations of the customs clearance procedure to the importers, and that the custom office had never required the submission of the re-export certificate under the Washington Convention for the import of furs having no relation with the Convention. The same explanations were also made to the customhouse brokers, and they were guided to avoid such misunderstanding. These furs have as a matter of fact passed the customs so as not to prevent the exhibitions.
