Details of Measures | 1. Explanations were made that every type of water faucet is examined on whether its work execution, maintenance and control can be made properly and whether it is hygienically safe and that objects of the examination are not limited to bronze water faucets, however brass water faucets are considered problematic because they are easily corroded. 2. Explanations were made that "An investigation of EC brass water faucets" by the Agency of Industrial Science and Technology has investigated and examined the suitability of the water faucets to the quality of city water in Japan concerning the request from EC on brass water faucets, that a fair and neutral committee which has a similar constitution as that of a technical committee provided by the Enforcement Regulation of Industrial Standardization Law, was set up in order to ensure the fairness, and further that some men of learning and experience concerned attended the test, etc. |
