| Details of Measures | 1. It was explained to the complainant that, among the high-pressure gas facilities, the specified equipment (storage tanks, reactors, coolers and etc.) required the specified equipment inspection by Institution for Safety High Pressure Gas Engineering or Industrial Manufacturers Inspection Institute of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry, and the other equipment (pumps and compressors) required the completion inspection by the prefectural government, but that equipment could avoid the completion inspection by the prefectural government, if it would pass the equipment test conducted by Institution for Safety of High Pressure Gas Engineering, and that therefore the equipment under complainant need not have undergone other tests than the test by Institution for Safety of High Pressure Gas Engineering. 2. It was also explained to the complainant that the foreign standards for wall thickness could also be approved if the strength is recognized to be enough by the required statement of design calculators or test measurement. |
