Details of Measures As for the fumigation method for lifting a ban on import, insecticide efficacy, damage from fumigant and their residue differ according to the kind of harmful inspects, habitat and the kind of fruits, etc. and therefore it is necessary to establish a unique, method to kill inspects completely suitable for the Philippine papayas. No same sterilization method for other fruits can be used.
Further explanations were made that all the test data submitted from Philippines had been examined in detail each time they were submitted, and the problems had been pointed out, and that the results of examination for the additional data submitted in September this year would also be informed to the authority of Philippines by the end of this year. The complainant has already understood these explanations.
