Subject | Exemption from inspection when materials woods with a phytosanitary certificate issued from the exporting country government are imported | ||
Details of Measures | Reply was made as follows: In spite of the certificate issued from the exporting country government, the inspection can not be exempted, because the phytosanitary certificate of the exporting country government certificates that inspection was made before the time point export against harmful pests, but does not guarantee that the woods have no harmful pests at the time point of import, because harmful pests have actually been found by the import inspection, and because material woods are also stringently handled in other foreign countries when they are imported. |
