| Details of Measures | Reply was made that as follows: It is our practice that animal hair undergoes the import quarantine when applied attaching the inspection certificate issued by a government agency of the exporting country, stating that animal hair, as a result of quarantine in the exporting country, is free from the danger of spreading any pathogen of livestock infectious diseases. We have accepted the original or simultaneous carbon copy of the inspection certificate, and since October 1985, have also accepted its copies provided that they have been certified by the government agency of the exporting country to be the same with the original certificate. But we cannot accept any photocopy of the inspection certificate, as we have no effective measure to prevent any forgery. |
