| Details of Measures | It was explained that the need to prevent illegal imports and to ensure tariff collection make it impossible to abolish the system of requiring permits for bonded warehouses, but that an effort is being made to simplify the procedures with expanded application of the provisions for comprehensive approval as of July 1, 1986. In addition, it was explained that authority for the actual receiving and dispatching of foreign cargoes is entrusted to the warehouse owner and that there is no need to report every movement to the customs authorities. |
