| Details of Measures | It was explained that the compilation and release of trade statistics is based upon international treaty agreements and that Japanese statistical classifications have been defined taking such factors as trade negotiations, industrial policy needs, and industry requests into consideration. While the import application requires listing of the tariff number, the tariff classification, and the statistical classification, the statistical classification is linked to the tariff classification and this requirement does not impose an undue burden on the person filling out the form. | ||
