| Details of Measures | It was replied that the need to ensure safety and quality of cosmetics mandates that the importer and the Ministry of Health and Welfare have full particulars on what ingredients are used in what amounts, and that there can thus be no exemption from the requirement that the list of ingredients be submitted. It was further explained that if the product qualifies under the comprehensive cosmetic licensing standards by category it will be possible for a license importer to import the product with simple prior notification (although this would also entail disclosure of what ingredients are used in what amounts). |
