Subject Concerning import of dogs,
1. Acceptance of certification not only governmental organization but also local government.
2. Permission of animal quarantine test in the site other than animal quarantine office in Japan.
3. Permission of simplified quarantine test substituting certification of foreign government.
Details of Measures It was replied that:
1. Inspection certificates can only be accepted from national governments and certificates issued by local governments are unacceptable.
2. Inspections in locations other than Animal Quarantine Stations may be conducted when deemed necessary for special dogs such as new born or feeble ones in the enough place to prevent the spread of disease.
3. It is not possible to conduct a simplified examination in lieu of the inspection certificate when the inspection certificate is inadequate.
