Details of Measures | Some local governments have set guidelines on the number of bacteria in meat products, etc. The government explained that these guidelines are for use in instructing food operators to improve food sanitation in production and preservation of foods and have no binding power. The government made an additional explanation to the effect that the measures to improve the guidelines set by local governments were taken following the revision of meat product standards that became effective as of March 17, 1993. |
