Details of Measures | It was explained that Japanese technical standard for automobile sun visor impact absorption: "the sun visor shall be made of an impact-absorbing material or covered with such material. Moreover, the sun visor shall be constructed such that there is no spot-contact-feeling of the inside hard structure of sun visor". As a result of hearing directly from the complainant and deliberating the issues at the 23rd Special Grievance Resolution Meeting in March 1991 and the 24th Special Grievance Resolution Meeting in April 1991, it was replied that the relevant organization have been notified as of June 20, 1991, that as concerns the specific assessment for sun visors' shock-absorption structure those sun visors that are tested in the same manner as the European standard (ECE-21) and that are certified for shock-absorption structure there under are to be treated as the samples meeting the Japanese standards. It was also replied that this would quantify the judgments on the Japanese technical standards for the impact-absorbing materials. |
