Details of Measures | The Patent Office announces the progress of examination of trademark applications in the Patent Office Gazette twice a year and the Office also answers to written inquiries about the progress of examination of individual trademark application. The government explained that normally it takes about two and half years to examine an application for a letter trademark and about two and half years to three and half years for a trademark containing figures, as in the application in question. As for the trademark application in question, since there were reasons for rejection, the applicant (representative) was notified to that effect. But the applicant (representative) did not submit a written argument (amendment) against the notice for rejection. Therefore, the government replied that a final decision of rejection was made and a copy of the decision of rejection was notified to the applicant (representative). |
