Details of Measures | The Road Vehicles Law sets down standards for the safety of construction and equipment of road vehicles and anti-pollution measures. Vehicles which fail to meet these standards may not be operated. Standards for positioning of automobile lighting equipment are currently being studied at the ECE.WP29, and the ministry replied that it would take action keeping in mind the trend to international harmonization of standards. U.S. standards for high-mount braking lights and license plate lights which were the subject of this specific complaint were accepted in May and June 1991, respectively. |
