Details of Measures | Under the Food Sanitation Law, testing organizations designated by the minister for Health and Welfare are not allowed to request importers to report on food ingredients or production processes, and importers are not required to report this to the testing organizations in question. However, the complainant was informed that importers are required to notify quarantine offices of food ingredients or production processes in accordance with the provisions of the Food Sanitation Law, so that the quarantine office may determine whether the foods being imported meet the requirements of the Food Sanitation Law. |
