Subject | Concerning approval procedures for temporary construction materials | ||
Details of Measures | Certain temporary construction materials at construction sites must be reported to the labor standards supervisor. Regarding complains related to the approval process on this report and the Ministry of Labor's Temporary Construction Association, the following three points apply: 1. When an examination is made concerning a report handed to the labor standards supervisor, whether the approval process for the Temporary Construction Association's appropriate temporary construction materials in question would approve the permit or not is not considered a criterion of judgment. 2. It is understood that the Temporary Construction Association cannot become a closed group. Based on its founding principles, it retains an 'open door' policy, and the activities of the Association should be guided not to obstruct imports. 3. Regarding this complaint on temporary construction materials, it is acknowledged that standards are not fixed for France and the Organization for International Standardization (ISO), but as a general consideration, standards should be unified for all countries, and we will make efforts toward making the appropriate adjustments. Moreover, on September 13, 1995, enterprises related to this complaint were granted membership in the Temporary Construction Association, and on December 4, 1994, they were given approval of temporary construction materials-related applications. |
