3. 日本で物質的はく奪指標を作成する場合の手順、留意事項等
3.2. 物質的はく奪指標を作成する際に必要な調査客体数
予備調査や本調査をどの程度の標本数で実施するかは、標準誤差率などを踏まえ検討する必要があるが、日本における調査に資するべく、EUにおいて物質的はく奪指標を構成する項目を選定した際の予備調査や本調査の調査客体数を調査した。例えば、イギリスでは約1,500世帯を調査客体として予備調査を実施している553 。
本調査は、イギリスでは約2千4百万世帯554 中、調査客体は約3万8千世帯555 、フランスでは約2千8百万世帯556 中、調査客体は約1万2千世帯557 ）として行われている。
統計的有意性を保ったまま、地域間の比較を可能とするためには、サンプルを更に拡大する必要があることに留意が必要となる。例えば、約21万世帯558 あるルクセンブルクでは約3千世帯559 、約130万世帯560 あるリトアニアでは約4千世帯561 が調査客体となっている。
