| Details of Measures | A measure related to exceptional loading of tall containers (8 feet 6 inch high) on a flat bed chassis and its pass on Japanese roads was taken as a temporary and exceptional measure from FY 1978 to 1982 to promote the introduction of low bed chassis. Explanation was made that readopting of this measure was not acceptable because it might constitute an obstacle to the prevention of dangers in traffic, and the transport of such tall containers could be made through rationalization of transport methods such as selective loading on suitable chassis, and so on. |
