８月１３日の日誌

　渡嘉敷島という沖縄本島から１時間程かかるところに来てから３日目になりました。
　みんなが逢ってから１週間経ち、リラックスしてきて非常に良い雰囲気が形成されてきています。こちらの天候は、ほとんど晴れで、（言い換えると酷暑）、“快適”に過ごせています。
　グループディスカッションでは、個々のメンバーが自分の知識を出し合い、他人の意見を聞き、考え、全員で答えを出し合います。それぞれが、自分の得意分野で能力を発揮し、上手くチームワークが出来ています。ときには冗談を言って笑い合うときもあります。また、なかなか意見がまとまらずストレスが溜まる時もありますが、聡明な各国のメンバー達は常に私を助けてくれます。

　最後に、私が感じた本音を一つ。よく世間の人達は「私は英語が出来ないから・・」と尻込みしてしまいます。でも“英語”って“日本語”と同じコミュニケーションのツールです。稚拙だったり、発音が下手でも「私はあなたと友好関係を結びたい。」と心から想っていると、自然に動作や表情に現れて相手と“上っ面”だけのスケートのようなツルツルと滑るだけのコミュニケーションでは無く、本当に心が通じ合い、どんな海よりも深く相手と話が出来ることが分かりました。「心は言葉よりも強し」さぁ、あなたも！尻込みするなんてもったいない！心の会話を楽しんでみませんか？

　今日は晴天の中、海岸でごみ拾いをしました。昨日シュノーケルをするために行った海はほとんどごみが落ちてなく、ごみ拾いをするほどのごみが落ちているのかなと思いましたが、行ってみると奥に進めば進むほど、落ちているごみの量が増えていたので、とてもびっくりしました。ペットボトルやビニール袋が多数を占めていましたが、意外にもサンダルや運動靴、洗濯機に入れる洗濯洗剤の袋など海では使わないような物まで捨てられていてびっくりしました。
　ごみ拾いの後、青年の家に戻り講義を受け、グループごとに議論しました。講義の内容は難しく、分からない部分もありましたが、外国人やチューターに教えてもらいながらなんとか理解することができました。グループごとの議論では、今まで自分から意見を言うことができなかったので、今回の議論では言えるように頑張りました。
　明日からの講義や議論では、自分から積極的に質問したり意見が言えるよう頑張りたいと思います。

　生活の場が新しい青年の家になり、約４日が過ぎました。最初は英語についての不安でいっぱいいっぱいだったけど、日本の子とそういう不安を持っているけどがんばろうとか、将来の夢の話をしたりとかして少し安心することができ、次に海外の子たちとも将来の夢の話をしたりすることができました。
　そこで私が思ったことは、“I’m sorry nothing.”とか言って話すことをあきらめるんじゃなくて、どんなに文法とか違っても、ジェスチャーとかで相手にどうにか伝えようとする努力が大切なことなんだなと思いました。そして、このプログラムが近い年の子たちばかりだから、同じ悩みを共有できたり、協力して解決していこうともできるし、自分の現状とかを見ることができて、新たに目標が増えました。
　これから最終日までもっとみんなと話したいです。

  This is Friday 13th. We started our day with telling and scarying everyone with Friday 13th. This was a little joke of my group, group 8.
  At first, we had a health checked up before the breakfast as usual. Then we moved to bus and went to Funatoshi Island.
When I have just arrived at the beach, I said to my friends that the beach was very beautiful ・Ｕ・ The sands are white, there are two big bank at the sight and left sides and the water is blue. I didn’t think that there were many garbages there. But after the showed us the side, I was so shocked. Then we were going to put all of the garbage. The garbage must divided　into 3, natural garbage recycle and unrecycle garbage. The garbage comes over the world. My friend found a baby lotion made by Philippines and many others.
  At 10:30 we moved to Okinawa Youth Friendship Center by bus. And we had a lunch. 
  After that, we has lecture from Ms. Kiyoko Ikegami and Mr. Shinji Nagase. It was an easy listening and easy to understanding lecture than before.
  And as usual we had a group meeting after the lecture. But we didn't discuss about water-related problem we discussed our group-related problem. Then we must to write a letter to say thanks to at group members and the tutors.
  At 7:00pm we were going to see the cultural presentation by 3 countries, India, Myanmar, and Japan. India's cultural presentation was very good, India was so wonderful. Myanmar's cultural presentation was very entertaining because of the dance. And Japan's cultural presentation was cool! They are creative participants!

  In the morning of 13th August 2010,　I woke up at 6:00 am to prepare for the health check (temperature check),　the breakfast today is very delicious but today is "Friday,13th August 2010". Many people believed that today is very unlucky day…. But I though it's so so. After we had finished our wonderful breakfast, we handed out a bottle of water and went to our room for prepared for our next program today.
  After the bus arrived around 8:20am, we then move to Funakoshi Beach for Beach cleanup activity. After we arrived Funakoshi Beach, we first took a group photo and I took many photo of wonderful sightseeing of Funakoshi Beach. There are many garbage because of some Japanese thrown away these garbage to sea, so there are many garbage for us to cleanup ^^.
  After finished cleanup the beach activity at Funakoshi Beach, we moved back to the National Okinawa Youth Friendship Center by Bus (maybe Okinawa Sightseeing Bus) , it's take about 15minuters from Funakoshi Beach. On the bus, we talk a lot of things, sing, chit-chat…that make me feel closer to foreigners which mean Okinawa and many people … and we had many thing similar, like: School, Activity…. I think it's really important to learn about each others because we are here to living together, spend time together and doing many thing, learn, happy, sad… of cause ･･・ together ^^. One of my friend, her name is "Laila", she is very funny, she also who made our group happy and relax all the time.
  After we arrived National Okinawa Youth Friendship Center, it was free time so　…　for me　…　it is time to sleep ^^" and after that we went to the restaurant for lunch, we all were very tried so we ate up all ^^. Then after lunch we had 50minutes free time again for relaxing before the lecture at the main hall this afternoon.
  At the main hall, today we had the lecture about water related problems with the theme is "International Cooperation in the Filed of Water"
  By Ms. Kiyoko Ikegami and Mr. Shinji Nagase around 2hours, the lecture talked about "UN or United Nation" and children of United Nation like: UNICEF, UNDP….　During the lecture Mr. Shinji Nagase presented 2videos related to water problems and Ms. Kiyoko Ikegami also talk about "Human Right". After the lecture finished they also had the Q and A for participants who have an question. ^^ After we finished Q and A, we had a Group Discussion about the lecture around 2hours….
  After the lecture, we went to the restaurant for dinner!! Wow you know we are waiting for dinner ^^ ha-ha XD just kidding…. After dinner we have there had the culture
presentation by 3 countries are: India, Myanmar and Japan (Kyusyu, Chugoku, Shikoku, Kansai, Hokuriku and Chubu), it was very interesting…. India shown their culture by Video Presentation and next is Myanmar, they shown their culture by PowerPoint slide show. It's also really interesting too. Then is Japan, mixed by many provinces so it's was a little confuse first but it's very fun and wonderful.
  Then it was free time and then we went to bed ^^".
　Finally, I want to say it very interesting and wonderful, it is unforgettable for me, Beach cleanup activity was also really fun, the lecture was really important also the dinner was really delicious ^^.
